PAK’N SAVE’S POLICY
- New Zealand’s Lowest Food Prices
|
PAK’nSAVE has been independently tested by the
Consumers Institute to have New Zealand’s lowest
overall food prices every year since 1997. Pak’n
Save follows a Food Warehouse format unique to New Zealand
supermarket shopping. We buy and stock a range of everyday
basic products in bulk, and because we can do this in
such large volumes we can pass the cost savings onto
you, in the form of New Zealand’s lowest overall
food prices.
You will always find great prices in store - we pride
ourselves on getting the best deals by taking advantage
of opportunities to negotiate in the marketplace.
We work hard every day to reduce costs in store - so
you’ll find that our plain style stores have no
fancy floor coverings, no extravagant shelving or no
expensive lighting. In our stores, we offer a practical
and functional environment with wide aisles, where the
grocery items are stacked on the shelf in their boxes
so that it's easy to shop, and there
are lots of checkouts to get you on your way as quickly
as possible. We do ask you to pack your own
groceries, so you don’t have to pay for any extras
hidden in the price of the goods.
By reducing our costs, we can pass the savings directly
on to you. We do this without reducing the
quality of the products we offer. Check out our fresh
food departments to find great quality fruit and
vegetables, meat, seafood, deli and bakery items, all
at NZ’s lowest prices.

Shopping at Kapiti Pak’n
Save
The best way to shop is to go up and down every aisle looking
at the shelves for stock you require and checking off your
list. Many people try to just locate items and end up wasting
time and double tracking all over the store, which is both
frustrating and time consuming.

FOODSTUFFS
Foodstuffs are the co-operative New World, Pak‘N Save,
Write Price and Four Square stores belong. Foodstuffs was
founded in 1922 by members of the Auckland Master Grocers
Association, who formed a co-operative buying group. Originally
all the stores used the name Four Square, with New World established
in 1963 and Pak‘N Save in 1986.
Together the Foodstuffs companies have become New Zealand's
fourth largest business.
Three co-operative companies now exist, Foodstuffs (Auckland)
Ltd, Foodstuffs (Wellington) Co-operative Society Ltd, and
Foodstuffs (South Island) Ltd, each group operates independently
from the other, but communicate and co-operate nationally
on some issues. They are New Zealand's largest food retailers
Each store within the group is individually owned and operated.
Our store in Kapiti has been Owned and Operated by Peter Anderson
and Glen Taylor since April 2005. Click here

HOUSE BRANDS
The Pam's and Budget range of products are the exclusive
brands of the Foodstuffs group. The Pam's product range of
around 1,000 lines includes most of the volume selling grocery
product groups in supermarkets. House Brands enable stores
to provide a product to customers that are comparable in quality
to major brands at reduced prices, this creates competition
within the market place that would not otherwise exist. Click
