SHOP’nGO offer you a quick and convenient way
to do your shopping. After enrolling you will be issued
a card enabling you to pick up a hand held scanner from
the SHOP’nGO station and scan your groceries as
you shop. The scanner gives you a running total of your
purchases. You can even change your mind and remove
items from your scanned list. This way SHOP’nGO
helps you budget. When you have finished shopping, go
to a special SHOP’nGO checkout, pay for your groceries,
and you are straight out - less queueing, less waiting!

Rescans
A re-scan is where you will have to go through the normal
process of checking out after self-scanning everything
yourself.
Why do we have Re-scans?
Shop’n Go is an honesty system and therefore periodic
checks are required to ensure that customers are honest
and do not undercharge themselves or alternatively are
accurate and do not overcharge themselves. Please do not
take this personally, less than 1% are intentionally dishonest.
How often will you get checked?
There are 5 levels you can be on this determines what
chance you have of being re-scanned.
You start on level 2 and go up a level every subsequent
correct rescan.
Level 1: 100% chance of being rescanned
Level 2: 40% chance of being rescanned
Level 3: 20% chance of being rescanned
Level 4: 15% chance of being rescanned
Level 5: 10% chance of being rescanned
How many shop’s you have between rescans will
vary as this is selected randomly. So the
percentages above are an average, this may be higher
of lower between each rescan.
How do you move from one level to the next?
A correct rescan moves you up a level.
A small error keeps you on the same level.
A large error will move you down one or more levels
based on % error.
How do you know what level you are on?
This information is confidential and only our Programmer
can find this out. Checkout Operators
do not know what level you are on.
What can you do if you feel you are being rescanned
too often?
Please let us know and we will gladly look into your
history. The Operator will take your details, this will
be investigated and we will contact you by mail.
Please do not worry about being rescanned, it is important
for both yourself and us to know you are using the scanners
correctly.

CHRISTMAS CLUB
Stamps
Save throughout the year and ease the burden at Christmas
time by purchasing Christmas Club stamps throughout the year.
Each stamp has a redemption value of $5.00 from 1st December
and can be redeemed for goods at any Pak’n Save store
within New Zealand.
The cost of the stamps varies as the year progresses. Below
is the cost of a stamp: -
Purchased: Dec – Feb $4.65
Mar – May $4.70
Jun – July $4.75
Aug – Sept $4.80
Oct – Nov $4.85
Unfortunately we cannot accept any responsibility for any
stamps or books lost stolen or destroyed so please keep your
book in a safe place.

Christmas Club Questions
Can I purchase Stamps from other stores?
Yes you can, it is preferable you keep these on a separate
page if possible.
Can I purchase stamps without my book or card?
You can purchase without your book but you must have your
card. It is best practice that you put the stamp in your book
when you get home, without the stamps you are unable to redeem
your Christmas Club.
When can I redeem my stamps?
Stamps can be redeemed for goods only after 1st December.
What do I need to redeem my stamps?
You must have both your card and book to redeem stamps. This
is to ensure that any lost or stolen books may not be used.
What if I need the money in cash?
You can request refund of the stamps. This is available only
at the store at which you purchased the stamps from. You will
receive the cash at whatever you paid at the time of purchase.
No benefit is paid on stamps redeemed for cash.
What if my book is lost or stolen?
We cannot accept responsibility for books lost or stolen.
They are to be regarded as cash. As soon as you are aware
of a missing book please notify us as soon as possible so
we can endeavour to stop them being redeemed at our store.
What if I move to another area and want to redeem
my stamps?
You can redeem your stamps at any Pak’n Save store throughout
New Zealand for purchases. If you require your stamps to be
cashed before 1st December, this may be done only at the store
you originally registered with. At other stores, only the
stamps in your book may be redeemed, as they will not have
your card records.
Note: Stamps redeemed for cash will be redeemed
at the stamp purchase price only.
GIFT VOUCHERS
Gift Vouchers can be purchased from the Service Desk in $10,
$25, $50 or $100 denominations and can be redeemed at any
Pak’n Save nationally.

PAK'nSAVE FUEL
Selected stores around New Zealand now offer customers another
way to make savings, linked to shopping for their household
necessities, when you fill up at PAK'nSAVE FUEL.
What you spend on groceries can give you discounts on every
litre of fuel that you purchase from PAK’nSAVE FUEL.
The value of your discount is tied to the amount you spend
in store – so the more you spend, the more you save!
Kapiti Pak’n Save have been operating a Fuel Station since September 2006.
How it works
When you have been through the checkout, you will receive
a voucher attached to your till receipt, telling you how much
you will save on every litre of fuel. Simply take this voucher
to the pumps, enter the code printed on the voucher and you
will instantly receive the savings on your fuel bill…
it’s that easy!
Your fuel voucher is only redeemable at the Pak’nSAVE
store where you purchase your groceries.

and by paying at the pump we can help you get on your way
faster.
